What about Algebra?

I know without a doubt, that unless I get EXTREME TUTORING on this subject, it will be my lowest grade on my report card. I'm not setting myselfup for failure, mind you. What I'm saying though is I'm going to have to work EXTREMELY hard to grasp all of the reasons why numbers (positive and negative), letters A-Z replace numbers, X2 and quotients etc., are so important in becoming a THEATRE teacher!!!

I do agree that Algebra, for the most part, is completely and utterly useless. Especially since, when you're taught these equations and formulas, it is never applied to real-life scenarios that they claim people use these for.

For instance, say you master the art of solving the equation (3x-y)(39x+7). Well that's great! Let's also say that you pretty much master solving any type of algebraic equation. That's even better. Kudos!

Now let's say that you are in a real-life situation and you have a problem on your lap to which an algebra formula can be applied--I would give an example of this real-life scenario, but no one really knows which scenarios algebra can be applied to. How the hell do you figure out which algebraic formula you are supposed to apply to your problem in order to solve it?! The answer: YOU FUCKING CAN'T!!!

For this reason, I've applied my own goddamn formula and come up with this conclusion: Algebra (as well as many other forms of mathamalunatics) is fucking pointless! The only thing that normal people can use algebra skills to accomplish is to make a good grade on a fucking Algebra exam!

Therefore, if we didn't have to take Algebra exams we would have no need to learn Algebra and if we didn't have to learn Algebra we would have no need to take Algebra exams. Let's express that in a formula: If a - b = 0, then b - a = 0. Now that's happy!
