On December 1, Chicagoland experienced what I would call a "near blizzard." The photo below, from the NASA Earth Observatory website, shows satellite imagery of the winter gash that the snow storm left on the midwest.
Since December 1, temperatures here have barely risen above freezing. The highest temperature, 35°F, was reached this past Wednesday. Last weekend, as I told Jake, I had to purchase winter gloves, a multi-function neck garment, and thermal underwear for the first time in my life.
Jake has informed me that he has none of those things, not even a coat. Only a light jacket. If Jake attempts to come to Chicago with only a light jacket, he will not return to Houston with functioning nipples. They will surely wither, freeze, and die like leaves in autumn.
Somebody loan the man a coat, for crying out loud.
