The Beautiful Game

I must offer my sincere congratulations to the Italian Football team after winning the FIFA World Cup on Sunday. I do believe that both teams played very well -- a fact that is self-proving given the 1-1 score, even after double-overtime. Both teams represented their passion for the sport and, for the most part, played with cordiality and class.

However, I also believe that the game would probably have ended with the opposite result had Zinedine Zidane been able to control himself and avoided getting himself kicked off the field.

Hey, Zin, you were almost my hero. In fact, I was considering your name for the middle names of my twins: Ashton Zinedine and Aiden Zidane. Now, unless you can come up with a really good medical excuse for what happend, you can forget about that!
