Let's hear it for the boys!

I suppose you have to be of recent British decent to really understand and appreciate Pet Shop Boys. And since Jake fits into that category, it makes sense that he is a cornerstone in the foundation of the Pet Shop Boys fan base.

Although they haven't mingled among mainstream popularity in the U.S. since 1988, when they released "Domino Dancing", Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have remained successful throughout much of the world -- namely in Britain where, since 1986, they've had 38 Top-40 singles.

Their most recent album entitled Fundamental was released just over eight weeks ago and has charted at #5 and at #2 in European sales. Jake camped out in front of Best Buy the night before it was released in the U.S. He was the only one who camped out, and the only one there when the store opened. (This report has not been confirmed.)

"I don't like country and western. I don't like rock music; I don't like rockabilly or rock-and-roll particularly. I don't like much, really, do I? But what I do like, I love passionately." -- Chris Lowe

What I don't understand is...why do these guys pretend to be heterosexual??
